This is a great poem if you have or know someone who has a family member in the navy or other branch of the military. We can change the title and relative words to be daughter, husband, wife, sister or brother. There is a place for you to put their photo (usuallly one of them in their uniform is nice). I can also do this with the word military instead of navy, or marines, air force, army, etc. I have Navy, airforce, marines, & army backgrounds. It will be a while before I get all the pictures up so let me know which you'd like. This one reads as follows
My Navy Hero Son
This world has many hero's, although you may not know their names,
It's apparent that they gave their best, yet rarely get the fame.
But among all of the hero's, this world has ever had
There's not one that I admire more than my Navy lad.
He's more than just a hero, he never looks for praise
He's heroic in his quiet strength, and in his caring ways.
He may not be as famous as those you hear about or see
But he's everything and so much more a hero ought to be
His life is on the line every day and every night
Every minute he's on guard, in case he has to fight
My son's a patriot, a brave and gallant man
Proudly serving this country
And my pride I'm sure you understand.
There are many things needed to keep our country free
My son makes the sacrifice, for you and for me
When I hear about a hero, and the special things he's done
It reminds me of my son, for he's the greatest one!
